Devlog Update: Chummy Waters Sets Sail as Its Own Project + Meta SDK Upgrade

Ahoy, Borked Reality crew! I’m excited to share some behind-the-scenes progress on Chummy Waters, my Mixed Reality exploration adventure that’s still in its early alpha stage. Big news: Chummy Waters is now officially charting its own course as a standalone project! Plus, I’ve upgraded to the latest Meta SDK to push development even further.

Why Split Chummy Waters Into Its Own Project?

As Chummy Waters grew, so did its ambitions. What started as a feature within a larger framework began evolving into a full-fledged experience that deserved its own space. Separating it into its own project gives me the freedom to iterate, innovate, and scale without constraints. This shift allows me to focus on refining gameplay, enhancing visuals, and expanding content.

Upgrading to the Meta SDK

To keep Chummy Waters swimming smoothly, I’ve upgraded to the latest Meta SDK. This move not only boosts performance but also unlocks new Mixed Reality features and optimizations. I’m excited to experiment with sharper visuals, smoother interactions, and deeper immersion as I explore what this upgrade can offer.

What’s Next?

  • More Frequent Devlogs: With a dedicated project structure, I’ll be sharing updates more often.
  • Enhanced Mixed Reality Experience: The Meta SDK upgrade means better performance and exciting new features to explore.
  • Expanded Content: I’m working on richer environments, new exploration mechanics, collectible upgrades, and customizable decorations to turn your physical space into an immersive underwater world.

This journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to share more progress as Chummy Waters takes shape. Thanks for following along and supporting this solo adventure!

Stay curious!
